What a GREAT adventure story!

Back when many (if not most) of us were still in school, who would of thought that in the 'near' future we would:

meet cyber friends around the globe
receive wonderful gifts (Jerome's CDs)
arrange/excecute a fond show of appreciation
and then have a guitar personally escorted across oceans?

What an awesome 'collection' of wonderful folk!

Good news and bad news.

The good news: Jerome's guitar made to my home in NJ 100% safe and sound. I walked on to the plane with it, stuck it in the overhead and that was the end of it. The only issue was one bitchy american woman who said "THAT's carry on luggage?". I had many replies in head, none of which I let out. Depending upon my work schedule and the weather, I will plan the next leg of the trip within the next week or two - the drive up to Connecticut - about a 4 hour drive.

The bad news: when I got home and came up to my office/music room, I immediately noticed that my '05 collectors had suffered the dreaded "bridge pop". As those who have suffered through this before know, it is VERY disturbing! It looks like there will be two guitars making the trip to the mothership. It's not under warranty so it double-sucks!

More to come...

Thanks Serge. The good news is that it looks like a very clean break, so I'm sure the MS can put it back together with little hassle.

Sorry about that, CL. OMA may have a good suggestion for reattaching it.

You are a lucky man! Any chance to sit in on one of their famous French O-Tribute hootenanies?

Jerome's DVD is awesome...pass it on!

Greg - no, not enough time to arrange anything more elaborate than a dinner. I did get an invitation from Guigite to visit him - he lives in the same region I was travelling to for work. I didn't have enough time this trip, but will make the time next time I go.

Mike,

I'm sorry to hear what's happened to your Collector's!! :(

As I told you, I wish that you'll have enough time to come at home next time.
I'm better in cooking than to play guitar...

Thanks again for all!!

J :)
