I fully realize that I have a moral obligation to post pictures of the 1598 MEII that I grabbed a couple weeks ago, thanks to the OFC…

No one would like that to happen more than I. It was held up waiting for the temperature to get at least above 20 degrees before the seller shipped it south from the frozen North. Hopefully it will arrive next week.

I will have 48 hours to evaluate it and determine if it is as described. I'm open to any suggestions as to areas to check and/or things to look out for. I have never owned an Adamas before, so this inspection will be somewhat new territory for me (and I'm really looking forward to it… ;)

I admire your patience...

You realize that it is Winter, right?

OMA,

Depends on where you are I guess… ;)

I don't wanna rub it in, but we don't think much about it being too cold to ship a guitar in January down here. Shipping one in mid-summer in Texas could be worse, methinks… (but it's plenty humid in the summer, no worries about wood drying out.)

My Adamas 1685 was shipped from Arizona to Connecticut Christmas week.
I think most of us remember the comentary on the weather.

I don't think I'd worry much about shipping an Adamas in cold weather. Now something like a Collings, or a Martin, that's another story.

I thought the same thing, but better safe than sorry. If it's cold out when it arrives, I'll still give it a gradual acclimation to warmth, despite the temptation to play it within 2 minutes of arrival…

Or, you could play it outside.

Yeah, maybe I could walk _really_ slowly through the doorway way while I am playing it… ;)
