I'm getting it today. 3-6" of snow, changing over to sleet and freezing rain for 2-3 hours then late afternoon, all rain. What a freaking mess!!!

The photo is actually in Middletown, so you weren't far off.

We got about six inches of snow a couple of days ago. Today we are having 45 MPH winds that are blowing it all around. I had to fill my gas tank this morning and my face and hair and jeans and jacket were encased in snow and ice by the time I was done. It was whiteout conditions on the way down here. If it doesn't let up, I think I'll sleep here at the shop tonight!

SW Ohio is not set up for handling snow. We don't get enough to justify the equipment costs.

Rain here and windy.

That's why I moved from upstate New York.

McCall Winter Carnival starts this weekend. Come visit. We'll give you a lifetime supply of snow.

Yeah, sure I will. I´m ringing a friend just now to cancel the weekend boat ride in order to be there in time. Oh, yes, maybe I should buy some winter clothes. It is TOO HOT here (right now, around 100).

Best regards,

Miguel

You probably don't know what size snowshoe you wear. I give free ski lessons, too: "That way is down. Stop when you get to the bottom." That's how I learned and I enjoy sharing the experience.

Mark,

I hear that "Iffy" knows how to negotiate slippery hills. :D

Oops. I failed to include, "try to stay upright" in my lesson. My water skiing lessons are a bit more complicated. Standing up on water is not natural. I've been surprised that a number of people don't know to let go of the rope after they fall.

Maybe I´ll buy a book on the subject and study it throughly before going there. As soon as I master the proper techniques, I´ll book my flight. Until then, I´ll just lay on the beach and study while I get some tan.
Best regards,

Miguel

You'd really be getting to me Miguel, except that I get bored laying on the beach and reading. The last time I did that was over 20 years ago in Hawaii. I thought at I'd at least enjoy watching the babes in bikinis, but I got grossed out by all the pregnant?? women in bikinis and the fat old guys in Speedos. Hope they are better looking on your beach.

Tomorrow morning on my way from home to work I´ll take some pics and let you decide, ok? Right now the sun´s gone, so probably the pics won´t be good.

I for one am looking forward to the pics of Brazilian babes on the beach. Don't know that there are finer looking women anywhere.

Standing up, no. Water skiing, yes. Snow skiing is the opposite in techniques. In either case, gravity sux!

At least when water skiing, let go of the tow line and ya stop pretty quickly. Snow skiing, it's 'gravity' to the bottom (if you're lucky) or a tree or another skier!

You would be amazed by how many people either die or get crippled up skiing. They never talk about it or publicize it but reading the paper here daily will give you a pretty good dose of reality!
