One of his colleagues reported that his neighbor's husband collected gear for years, then passed away, and his widow wanted to sell an expensive mic. He went to take a look and found it to be a vintage Neumann in original packaging which he was willing to buy on the spot. She then asked if he wanted any more and dug out a cardbox box full of loose "stuff". He took a quick look and found some more Neumanns scattered in the box, so he said yes and paid $2800 for the entire lot. I should see him tomorrow and will ask for a list of what he ended up with. It means little to me, but you Neumann fans might find it interesting. | ||
