Hmm, good eyes. Maybe he'll knock $50. off.

Seriously, you won't find a better sounding Dreadnaught. I haven't seen many of these for sale, ever. The lucky people that gots em wants to keep em.

I don't doubt what you say. But for 10 large, it had better be one of the best sounding dreadnaughts ever....

Older, vintage Martins had a long saddle that was carved at the ends to follow the slope of the bridge. This one is too short.

Also, the strings look like the dreaded Elixir's.

Original saddle is sloped at the ends. Looks like it was replaced with a drop in saddle.

It is. I would never sell mine. Recently the few that have sold have gone for every bit of 10. This one looks to be in great shape.

I saw that one and it has the wider manly fingerboard....if only it was a nice burst.

Well, let's see. I could sell almost ever guitar I own and buy this one. Of course, then I'd be afraid to take it out of the house for fear of something happening to it......

It took me a year to convince myself that I was good enough for the OFC and I couldn't convince myself I deserved Cholloway's slothead. I don't have enough time to do that for this one.
Besides, I've just convinced myself that I "need" a Duotone that I found a great deal on. This would be the other end of the spectrum.

At this time, to the extent finances permit, I continue to prefer two $5,000 guitars over one $10,000 guitar. Of course, it might not always be like this. A few years ago, I prefered to own five $1,000 guitars over one $5,000 guitar. Don't you just love choices?

I saw it too. The saddle is probably original but has just been lowered from the bottom rather than the top which is how you have to do these ones. I don't need another Collings braz. I don't need another D18 either but I couldn't pass that one up.
