But I sent the 1115-4 to the MotherShip for a neck reset, and it came back a 1115-HB! :D I've beat down a fret or two on my 1778T-OF. And glued the headstock on my 1121. Adjusted a few Truss-Rods... If at all possible, I will do it myself.

Having built a few solid bodies, I'm not unfamiliar with most of what needs to be done, but acoustics scare me. I do set ups and minor things, particularly electronics. But if it involves the top or neck joint, out to the shop it goes. .

A... 1.2mm D... 1.mm the other 3 slots were done with 'worked' feeler guages of the correct thickness for each slot. The height for these strings is 12 thou". It has made a huge difference to the playability of the neck.

Layers of black paint and clear fingernail polish with a lot of sanding and polishing. The luthier said, "someone did a really nice repair that you can barely see." I was pretty proud of myself.

Nice thing about Ovations, once it's been dialed in, it'll last forever unless you're constantly changing string gauge and the like..
