Joined: February 2009 Posts: 54 Location: Dayville, Connecticut | since I just found this site and started doing some research on my guitar, I can't seem to match the characteristics with the model type. I have a Custom Balladeer with the red serial number "771". All of the pics and descriptions I see show an early "deluxe" as having a small sound hole and a rosewood bridge with three m-o-p dots on the bridge. Mine has a large sound hole and the same rosewood bridge but no mother- of-pearl inlays on it. I know the serial is correct because not only does it have the "red" label, but the base of the neck is also stamped "771" (as veiwed through the sound hole) Did they make other variations or is this just a factory mistake. thanks in advance, Rick C.

Without the rosette it would be hard to see the size of the sound hole. Also, the machine heads are off..they are the exposed gears with white knob type (12 string)... I have a photo in my phone that I can send along later...but it ain't pretty!
