Hey Everybody-

I'm new to the Ovation family with a CC026 I got off craigslist for $225 with hardshell case.
I love the tone, but like I've read and experienced, the guitar slips. Where can I find the rubber pads for the body to prevent slippage? Are they available after-market?
I googled and searched here and can't find any.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Welcome Slackerprince...

On evilBay they are selling 'Slip-Grip' pads for about $13 or so.
I bought one, but regretted it. They are made of fuzzy felt that collects dirt.
Plus, after playing round-backs for awhile, I didn't need it (but it was still there).

Personally, I would recommend getting some stick-on 'stair tread' material, and cut it to size. Or some of those bathtub no-slip adhesive sticker things... You choose, flowers, fish or seahorses.
OR... a stick-on sanding pad for an Orbital Sander (choose your grit). And the sanding pads are made to come back off someday if you so choose.

This is one of TJ's creations, I don't know exactly what he used...

They make place mats made of this non-slip rubber stuff, or at sears for inside tool chests to keep sockets and crap from sliding around...try that. Check out Publix in the drawer liner section.

I use 3M non-slip stair tread. It's black like the bowl, will keep the guitar firmly planted where you put it, and you can cut it to shape with your wife's good sewing scissors.

It's hard on the legs if you're used to playing in shorts. :D
