Seasick Steve is playing locally at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone has seen him live and what it was like?

He did a hellava job on chumming up the Amberjack on my last offshore fishing trip! He had had a three egg tuna fish omelet for breakfast.

Ooops, wrong forum...

Give me a break, please. This guy is a classic case of "Emporers New Clothes" There is a modicum of talent there, but there's a huge dose of style over substance also. But I guess when marketing can get a no-hoper like this headling major international music festivals, you have to hand it to 'em. Personally I'd rather stick pins in my eyeballs.

Those kind of comments by Paul make me fearful of ever playing in his presence. I'd hate to have him go blind on my account.

There's a number of his videos on youtube.
Don't think I could sit and listen to it for any extended period of time.

Thanks gents, that's why I thought I would ask if anyone had seen him live.

Might keep my $$$'s in my pocket or take Mrs Flackster out for dinner - no comments necessary :D
