I know that this site has a list that shows the suggested retail when they were new, but I'm wondering about current fair market value for various models. I can't find anything like that. |

I actualy found one online and printed the Ovation pages a couple of years ago. You will have to research that. |

Just look at some of the recent eBarf sales...
I recent saw a relatively nice Adamas W597 go for $625!
There's a guy who keeps relisting a Flame T and it just made it up to $510 (didn't make the reserve).
I just bought a K-1111 for $500 (plus shipping).
I paid more for my Used 1778T (with a gigbag) than I paid for my Brand-Spankin' New Sweetwater T.
Quoting Blue Book is like quoting MSRP... Nobody really pays that price.
(Just wanted to be annoying real late at night by stating the obvious. :p ) |

The more recent the guitar the less true that statement. |

Buy a guitar for xxx.xx, play it for 20 years taking relatively good care of it. Sell it for xxx.xx or maybe a little more depending on condition.
The best source or prices on just about anything today, is "SOLD" items on eBay. Looking at asking price is pointless unless the unit sold.
Are there exceptions of course, but in general, those who buy on eBay set the market. |
