I'm considering a Baritone, so I wanted to get feedback from those who have the experience in adjusting their playing techniques. So, post at your leisure. When I look for one it will be an Ovation...

Thanks,
Steve

If you run with the standard "D" tuning on the Baritone it isn't difficult to adjust if you have long or average finger length. Try using a partial or "Cut" Capo on the second fret and it will be "normal" feel with a DADGAD tuning.

When I had mine I didn't use the "odd" string setups that are possible. I did get some .074" strings from online and then string Heavy's with the "E" in the "A" position. Very deep.

That's good news then. I strung my Legend with D'Add heavys and tuned down to C standard. The bass string was a tight fit in the nut. I remember the scale on the Longneck I played once was longer, but the number of frets didn't change, so it might be a bit of an advantage playing intervals in the upper register.
