Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | I think that if you're into it for its good looks, send it to Mother. But if you're into it for the sound, I wouldn't let anyone touch it. My black Legend has worse cracks than that, but it is by far the BEST sounding Ovation I ever heard. If anyone ever tried to fix it, I'd break their arm. Yours has had all these years to open up, and a new top would be stiff and would take years to get the mojo back. And if they could just repair the crack without replacing the top, it would almost certainly affect the sound. Just my opinion, but I had to share it. |

So, as long as the crack stays as it is, I will just keep her as she is. If the guitar can stand my flaws, I can tolerate hers. |

Then again, we all have our scars and blemishes. So What! ;) |
