Location: europe | hi - i got my old adamas I from 1978. the label is signed by charles kaman july 1978.
i have one problem which i would like to solve. the guitar has a neck repair, the repairman who made it glued the fretboard on the top - crazy but true. therefore the fretboard make a bow down to the top which i do not like at all. i emailed with al and he recommends to send it to ovation and have it inspected and done.
are there any experiences like that. i really would like to free the fretboard again.

Location: europe | i communicated with kim and john. both gave me immediate and detailed replies and advice. i really like how kim and john helped me to find a solution for that matter. fretboards of very old adamas can curl up or twist. in such cases the board needs to be bond to the top. as the board is bond to the top on my guitar it might be the reason. as i live in europe, kim suggested to leave the guitar as it is at the moment. when i fly to usa for a couple days they will unglue the fretboard and bond it in a better way to the top than it is now. maybe it does not have to be bond we´ll see. for now i feel much better, because i know where i will go to solve that point.
