Mr. Beggin, thanks for your generous offer to sell me your SSB Ovation, but I really wanted an Elite, so I bought this instead. With a little cleanup, it oughta be a fine axe. I hope we can still be friends.

No apology needed buddy. The Elite looks like a fine specimen and the price as well.

My son recovered the 1867 this week. She is in fine shape and after I cleaned her a little and put on some new strings she is back with the rest of the herd. She has blended in well and was seen snuggling with the 1681 last night.

I noticed something about the 1867, compared to my other O's and A's, the frets seem to be thicker and higher than the others. Did they come like this or could they have been replaced?
After all, it was a pawn shop find, so who knows.

Any comments from those in the know?!

Enjoy the Elite Jas, my new (to me) 1537 is fantastic. It really lives up to the "Wooden Adamas" nickname.

Yeah, well who needs you anyway? Wait, you're not mad? That's cool.

You need that 1867 anyway, just so you have a cutaway.

Congrats on the 1537. You've got some nice guitars.

I used to have an Elite exactly like that. Loved it! I turned it into a mandocello though. :D

The guitar came to the office yesterday, and I was off yesterday, so I went and fetched it today. I polished it and treated the fingerboard, put on new strings and changed the dead battery. I'm very happy with where I am now guitar-wise. It plays great and looks fantastic.

Did I need to take the battery compartment loose to change it? Anyway, it made it easier and was a snap to re-attach. The door was very tight on it.
