Josh played Gibsons and Guilds for just about all of his career. He only switched to Ovation in the last few years before he passsed away. I have never head of a "Josh White Signature Model" other than the Ovation. The whole signature hype marketing spew was pretty much invented for the baby boomer generation.

There was a Zenith "Josh White" model. It was sold in England. I got one once just to have it. It didn't last long. He was playing Guild just before he switched to Ovation, and a ton of Martins before that, mostly a OO-42 with a huge black pickguard.

To find out what the "History Detectives" concluded about this guitar, tune in to your local PBS station tomorrow night (2/23) at 10 p.m. (at least here in GA.).
Check you local listings.

New Harford has both stencils and the Guild production line. Shouldn't be any problem at all. ;)
