They were by the Mothership in last couple week. I noticed it on the Pacermaker too but as dramatic volume change. Does even light remove lots viberation?? thoughts??

I'm not a fan of the Exp's either, but I like the Elixirs. I think the gauge would make a lot of difference. Are you comparing apples to apples here as far as gauge?

I have found a set of #12 Martin Strings seemed to ring about the loudest and best of any on my Adamas's.To my ear...... You have to try a lot of strings and use what sounds best to your ear. Remember, it is similiar to buying an acoustic guitar. It helps to have someone who can play do the honors while you stand in front to get a better idea of the sound from the audience view.

They are great if you play a lot and want to sound as good as you can without going crazy changing strings every other day. I have noticed no difference in sounds when plugged in but you do loose some of the crisp sounds with these for sure acoustically.

Somebody once said, "they sound 1/2 dead when you put them on and 6 monthes later they still sound that way." yes Jeff your used strings are on the way Most coated!!
