I just don't know who to take them to for non-warrentee repairs.

For Guild, take it to the factory. For Martin, contact the factory for an authorized repair person....

Elderly Instruments in Lansing does a lot of repairs and sells boatloads of Martins. Never had any work done there but there are lots of folks who have. It might be worth a call.

PEZ,
The Fretted Instrument Workshop 49 South Pleasant Street Amherst, MA (413) 256-6217. They are an authorized Martin repair site. I had them install Fishman oick-ups in my two older Guilds and fix a small crack in the sound hole of my Guild 6 string. Their work is excellent and the cost was low. The turnaround was also quick. This would probably be an honest 70 minute from Hartford.
God bless,
Steve

PEZ,
I know for sure that the Fretted Instrument Workshop is an official Martin repair site. You can check out their web site or call them. They have done work for me and are very good.
God bless,
Steve
