Location: Brighty in Blighty | I notice that harmonics at the 12th fret often set off some rattling/buzzing vibration of the pre-amp. I have solved this by wedging a tiny piece of paper down the side to prevent it but wondering if anyone else experiences this and has a better longer term solution.... |

Location: South of most, North of few | Which guitar? If it's one of the newer "can" type, you can pull the preamp out and check the two phillips screws that tighten the can to the body. |

I'd still check the can screws though. My 1680 had a buzz and I found out it was the xlr lead from the preamp touching the top slightly and vibrating against it. I moved the wire and it disappeared. |
