Many years ago my Mom sent her mother, who lived in Latvia, a home made dress as a surprise birthday gift. Her mother asked her to please not send anything else. That dress cost her mother two weeks in wages for import duty! |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Unless Nat has a home laptop (rare, as internet connection is very expensive there) she has to go to a public internet kiosk...depending on where she lives, it can be a long ride on the trolly bus...also, it is possible (probable) that Nat had to pay a tax on the package...the larger the package, the greater the tax...
SWMBO is Russian...we met there in '96...believe me folks, it's not Kansas... |
