And suddenly I might have a chance to get an 1860...
(Never had one... I've had 4861, GC057, and a S771 which is really a mid-depth)
Anyway... The Ovation Archive sez "Bracing: Ovation"
What is 'Ovation Bracing'? "X"? Fan? VT weird stuff?
I'm struggling like a kid in a candy store (on a budget), y'know?
Looks like this...
[don't go searching for it before I decide, hey? :p ]
So, What is "Ovation" bracing?
Plus, any thoughts/opinions/reviews of the 1860? (1993) |

Here's mine...
I've had mine since it was new so it's like a part of me these days. Like any SSB it won't pump out the volume and annoy your neighbours, but plugged in it works just fine. However, it seems louder than it used to. I don't know if that's because the top has opened up or my ears are just playing tricks on me. |

Those guitars are Custom Balladeers from the mid 90's (the catalog is a 1994 one)...... |

My First Ovation was a Korean Balladeer 4861... Kinda looked like this one. So I pulled the trigger.
I\'ll let y\'all know what \'Ovation Bracing\' is once I get it. :D

I've always said that when it comes to guitars..I just play 'em....dunno what makes them work. Terms like bracing, bridge, saddle, nut, scale length, etc, just confuse me
Congrats on the purchase. Hope you enjoy it. |
