I simply cannot believe that there is an Ovation or Adamas that sustains and projects anywhere as near as good as the Adamas 1680.

It just cannot be.

Glad you are so enthusiastically happy with it.

It is a really nice one.

I was pretty impressed with #54. And #35. And the two I played at Michael's. But I suppose that's just not fair to anything that came out after that run.

I agree Dweez. The 1680 is an animal unto itself. I don't think there is another guitar quite the same. I'll let you know when I get the 1581 in. I've heard great things about them too.

#35, followed closely by Q #10, and Beal's 2080D

Depends what you are comparing it to. The rest of the guitars in your signature are what I would call "medium sustain" guitars.

I walked in my guitaradore once and snapped my fingers to see which guitar would sustain the longest. I got bored and left before the last one died out.

No doubt that the 1680 is a tone monster. Enjoy it.

G8r nailed it. The original slotheads and the Q's have better sustain than any of the newer ones I've heard.

And as far as projection goes, Slipkid can tell you what it's like to sit across from a Q when some maniac is playing the Kinks...

Personal opinion.....I would grab a "Q" before I would grab an original slothead.

.......because they have kinda duplicated the original slotheads but have never produced anything like the original "Q"s.
