I bought a KA-14 a little while ago and figured I should have a KA-17 too.

That's a beauty. Looks like it has the adjustable bridge and a real wooden fingerboard. STEAL of a price.

Sweet!
They didn't use the word "Ovation" in the ad so most of us missed it.

Since KSDaddy don't seem to wanna warn you, I will...
It\'s available again...

This one is better than mine, but I really cannot justify buying it.
So somebody buy it before I change my mind!

Arthur,

Soon you'll be up to a six pack! Thanx...

Ya need to bring that 'vintage bowl' on down here to collect. Oh yeah, bring an Ovation also!

Hey Iffy... If you look at a photo from the original listing you will see some crud or something by the neck... But it has fewer problems than mine does. [original thread]

I'm tempted to buy this one and sell mine for a hundred bucks.
But I am just being nice to y'all. Mine came with silk-n-steel strings on it and it sounded interesting. I put EJ16's on it and sounds really 'bassy' but kinda muted. But it is plastic.

You really ought a buy it... before I do.
Everybody should try one of these, and you could just continue this one's tradition...
Buy it, try it, and sell it again. :p

Arthur,

The was 'IffyWhoDeni' making another guitar evaporate into the ethers.

I already have a KA-14 and love the sound. So to support Dave's recommendations, I jumped on this one!

It's a good guitar. You'll like it fine (I'm preaching to the choir I know). I sat there last night and played one, then the other. I just like the Loonium neck better. I looked closely at the weirdness beside the neck and all I can surmise is that the cream/bone color is some kind of laminate, contact paper, etc.... I'm not sure it's paint per se but could be. My Loonie-14 appears to be just the injection molded stuff with no overlay of any kind.

If I had kept it I would have made a nice bone nut for it, as the stock nut (while original and in great condition) is on the high side. Typical of most any guitar, but it's something that gets under my skin quicker than most maybe.

Anyway, enjoy. I basically recouped my exposure and you still got a deal!
