I first heard this on cassette more than 20 years ago, but I've never seen him play it. Youtube comes into its own eh?

How do you simultaneously make one of the great classical pieces your own and then make it look so effortless?!

A minor aside, is that guitar a little small or is he just a fairly big fella?

Beautiful. I think he is normal size, but playing a smaller sized classical model.

I have the "Winter's Solstice" CD with that on it, it's always been a favorite in our house at Christmas time. I don't know about the size of the guitar but he's got a pretty sizable talent.

It's a great song to play too. I capo the guitar at the second fret though. He's got a 5 fret stretch spanning the low to high E string. So the capo makes the reach a bit easier. He plays it in drop D.

Thanks for finding this. I only have a mp3 of my teacher playing it.
