Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I sent the '81 Adamas 1687-7 to be checked out for an intermitent buzz in the top...John/Kim and Co. found out that one of the p/u retainer pins was loose and caused the problem...now its just as sweet and buzz free as it can be...what a sound...I can't thank these folks enough...I was expecting a loose brace or something serious...way cool folks!
Also the '78 is progressing nicely...can't wait...
I'll say it once again: we are blessed with the finest Service Department of any guitar company in the world...hands down...These folks do what they do because they love the guitars, they love the Company, and they want only the finest instruments in the hands of the customers...Well Done Again Folks! Thanks! |

Did you send it back to the factory? http://www.ovationfanclub.com/cgi-bin/ubb/non-cgi/ultimatebb.php?ub...
Near the bottom of the page...
It really needed a setup (neck reset-action was way too high) and the bowl paint lifting on either side of the neck is being fixed: all else is being left as is...
And I found out that the epi covers that were in the case (view pic's in above thread or on my page below) are original and were made at the factory...only made for a very short while...so how cool is that? |
