Looks like Tak, Taylor and Collings have been busy revamping their websites lately ...

TAKAMINE

COLLINGS

TAYLOR

On the Ovation side, looks like they've moved most Adamas stuff back on the Ovation page. The old Adamas page is pretty stagnent still touting the 30th anniversary models that are no longer available and the Adamas custom shop which is just a pretty name for Lost Art Vintage.

I haven't check other sites, but I'm guessing that it's pretty common for major site revamps every year after all the new NAMM introductions.

Do you want to explain why you were checking the Taylor site, Dave?

Ya think ??? That's the one I played for 2 solid days at the clinic. It's a CJ-41 Brazilian. Probably about a $9k guitar, if not more.

Check your strap button. Twice.

It was nine. Probably would be more now to replace.
Glad you liked it Brad. It is a good one, Debanjo's favorite of all of them, although I think the s/b D-42 he was playing at the workshop may nudge it back to second place.

From a looks standpoint, that D-42 is one of the most awesome looking guitars I have ever seen.

If I ever custom order another Collings, I am asking you for the serial number of that D-42 and asking Colling to duplicate the looks (cept in a varnish ;) ) .

that D-42 is a varnish. I'll send the number when you're ready.

There were nothing but wonderful guitars all around. I remain grateful and honored to see and hear these excellent guitars in the hands of folks who know how to play them, let alone be able to play them myself. Thanks for making it happen, Beal.

I notice that the TNV760 models are missing from the list of professional models available on the Tak site.

What I was told re: TNV760 is that it is "in the process" of being phased out. Meaning that they don't advertise it, but it's still available (for now) if you want to order one. The TNV760 (OM) and TNV460 (NEX) are within fractions of an inch identical guitars. I owned both and would actually get them confused. These two models are the most expensive regular production models in the Takamine lineup (for good reason) so I'm sure it doesn't make sense for them to continue building both.
