Location: VENISE-EN-QUEBEC CANADA | Im looking at Legend model guitar, custom or regular Legend, Ive seen s/s bowl mid dep.and deep bowl.I plan on playing my Ovation plug in all the time would a s/s bowl do the job.and which string should i put on it super light/light/ or regular i want my guitar to be easy to play,any brand in mind

I DO Prefer the Custom Legend though. The way I look at it, if you're going Legend you may as well go Custom also. Bling Bling Bling! Daniel, if you are going to be playing strictly plugged in the SS would probably do the trick for you. I havent seen many CUSTOM Legends in anything but deep and medium bowls.(that Legend Arthur mentioned is a SS bowl with cutaway and sounds right up your alley) If you decided to go with a Custom Legend and you play electric guitar primarily, you would probably prefer the cutaway version. A used Custom Legend will usually run you between $600-750. Sometimes you can snag them cheaper if you are willing to put up with a couple finish cracks. Sometimes they'll be a bit more if you can get the AD version. I haven't even checked on the price for a new one. |

But when I started watching that it was around $20.
When I put it up there it was under $200.

Location: Carle Place, NY | If you're going to play plugged in all the time look for a 1777LX or 1771LX. The latter is technically a Balladder but essentially the same as a modern Legend. The LX models have the OP-Pro pre-amp w/tuner. IMHO the OP-Pro is much better than the older OP-24. |

Those are some awesome guitars, and I think they will prove to be one of the best wood tops made in a long time, and that one is going for the same price you would pay for a CL. Get 'em while you still can. |

If I hadn't been put on notice by SWMBO, that one wouldn't have lasted 2 seconds.  |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | The SSBs are outstanding alternatives for regular plugged-in band gear. I go in and out of playing four of them on a regular basis, as well as some some other thin profile hybrids and a few not so thin woodies. The SSBs are the most comfortable of the lot IMO. For strings, I played super lights for years, but have since switched back to standard lights for a bit more tone (.12-.53). |
