Been looking at the california series strat Al had for sale. Got it yesterday. Well packed, and just as advertised.
This is not the first cali strat I have had, they are good strats, only made for a couple of years.
I will be semi-retiring at the end of the year so after December money will be pretty scarce, I need to get what I can now.
thanks Al |

I just put a new/old neck on my Strat. I've fallen in love all over again. Fender is plenty OK over here! Well, at least with me. Those California Series are nice guitars ... you ought to be real happy. Congrats! |

Location: Montana | Keeping on off topic, I watched the Buddy Holly Story movie last night and it was interesting to watch the evolution/progression of guitars throughout the movie. I don't know if it was historically accurate, I've heard people complain that the movie overall is not too accurate. but anyway, he started with what looked like a Strat body shape but it only had one pickup, then went to Teles, and finally ended with a really nice burst Strat with a whammy bar. There is a story in Guitar Player magazine about the restoration of Buddy's last guitar. |
