Sweet!! I have one in Vintage Orange with the Phat Cats. Terrific guitar ... wait'll you see the attention to detail all the way around, but look especially at the fretboard binding. Congrats.

I saw the factory in 07.
SO I know.
After the tour I told Jol I had a John Page era Fender Setneck Custom Shop Strat one-off.
While it is nice guitar its not even close to what I had just seen. My expensive guitar is crap compared to Hamer.
I wish I had seen Hamer before I bought the Strat.
The the Stat was $2150 back in 1993.

The gears gotta turn to move if from storage a spot behind Kim Desk. I can pick it up soon
in New Hartford.

till then

I consider my two Hamers to be the best quality guitars in my bandroom. Hamer's quality and attention to detail, particularly at the neck joint, definitely influences the quality of the VXT.

Which pickups are on it? I've got a vintage Orange sparkle Newport Pro with the Seth Lovers pickups. What a joy it is to play and to listen to. The workmanship is simply flawless.

You're gonna love the Lovers! Once you get your amp dialed in, the range of tones is impressive. They are very touch sensitive pickups, so when you play lightly you get a clean sound, and digging in will give some really nice guts.

Well I got!!
Thanks Al!!!!!

Its breath taking and pictures do not do it justice.
This is a work of Art.
The Sound and feel!!!
Amazing! Its so responcsive it took about an hour just to get use to it.
The tone just straight to tube amp is emotional expirence. I feel emotionally drained from getting to know this guitar.

I was drooling on the tour the factory tour 2 years ago.
I was like going to an auto show drooling over a Bentley.
You really want one but never think your really going to get one.

I at a lose for words as to how good this actually is.
It the best electric guitar I ever played.
I had Fender's Custom Shop build me a Set-Neck Stratocaster one-off back in 1995.
Its not even in the same league.
I paid more for that Strat than I just did
on this Hamer.

Hamer uses great pups. After researching everything I could find on the options for the Monoco III, I upgraded to the custom Jason Lollar P-90s. One word . . . wow!

Check out Jol's workshop blog. He explains the use of a custom shim underneath the Bigsby on the archtops. Not sure if this does it, but I don't have any problem keeping it in tune, at least, not any more so than any other electric guitar I use. I tend to check tuning about every three or four songs as a matter of course, so it is never a problem.

The Jason Lollar P-90s look just like the custom Seymour Duncans that come stock on the Monoco III, but he custom makes these just for this application. They really bite and ring in the mid-range. I only know what I read, and the published review of the Monoco III (available on Hamer's website) suggested that the Lollar upgrade was noticeable and recommended, so I jumped at the chance. Al made it happen.
