Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | Wow. And isn't it sad that if she were an unattractive male who could sing as well, s(he) would already have a lucrative career. Yet there are so many "attractive" female vocalists who are stars, in spite of the fact that they can't sing. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I saw Les Miz twice, once in London and once in New York and it was an incredible experience. Just about every number gives me chills and the soundtrack is in heavy rotation. This singer in the video did a very nice job. |

My goodness, their stories are one thing that captivates the press, but their performances captures the soul!!!!
May we appreciate the glory, preciousness and talents of those that we may overlook/ignore/avoid/shy from as we walk the path of life.
So inspiring...
BTW, Pebbles has to be one contented and entertained cat! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | In one of the interviews, Simon explained that it had been a long, bad day of auditions, which made her performance come as an even more pleasant surprise.
I once wasted an hour watching clips of the auditions for American Idol. I'd be grumpy, too, if I had to sit through so many terrible performances just to see one or two that were excellent like hers. But that is really what these shows are about. |

She has a marvelous voice, but what made it really great was the transformation in the audience and the judges at the 1st note, and two of the judges owning up to it. Among so much absolute dreck that makes you wonder why video and audio recording were ever invented this is a moment that makes you glad for the medium. |

Unfortunately, a lot of people will quickly forget this lesson. I think that our society has become so focused on outward beauty and youth that sometimes we forget what is really important, and that is being a person of substance and influence.
I came across a clip of two people who brought forth a lot of beautiful music. The cynic in me believes that they would have been passed by in today's culture because they don't have the right look:
