I stopped by a local store. After playing a bunch I have to say that I am still very happy with my 1767 and 1115. I could not really find anything to match the rich tone from the 1767. There is something about the richness of the midtones of that guitar that just make me mellow out. The funny thing is after trying out all these expensive guitars the one that I would have walked out with would have been the Blueridge BR-40, their bottom of the line spruce top, ply side and back. That guitar rings with a deep clear bass. It misses the middle like my 1767 (as did everything else) but man for $350 it is quite a guitar. I walked out with a couple of picks as my dog found my stash and knarled a stack before I could get to him :) .

I'm with ya on that one.
That's funny. I stopped by my local store around lunchtime today, too!

Visited Dave's Guitars yesterday, and got to play a 2008 Collectors Adamas. Not a big selection of Ovations (maybe a dozen from Custom Elite down to some Celeb's), but I don't get to see 2 Adamii on a wall very often (the other was a 1597).

Yeah, All you Oregonians...
Apple Music still has an older 1681 with FET/OP24 (whichever) for only $1400...
I don't think it has the original case. But he'll find one, he has a bunch of O's...
[I couldn't bring myself to tell him how much I paid for the one I got coming...
Especially since I was gonna offer him $1200  ]

They also had a 2006 Collectors' the day before yesterday...
Support you local music store!

I actually got to try a 12 string Melissa Etheridge Adamas at GC recently. I was very surprised to find one there. A very sweet guitar indeed!

Twisted... I did the same thing in December and DID buy the Blueridge BR-40. The best $350.00 I ever spent.
