I was watching goofy dog and cat videos with the kids this morning and this song was playing along with the one video. So I did a search and found this--maybe this one has already been on here:

Nice Adamas II (1587-2?) Alex Britti is playing. I look forward to the day I've got a deep-bowl Adamas.

Enjoy--have a great weekend.

Or is this a 1581 (since it's an Adamas II)? I'm still trying to learn.

Todd G.,

Thanks for that post, somehow I never caught that before. Beautiful guitar, nicely played…

Interesting combination, too. I would never have guessed that Joe Cocker and Pavarotti EVER sang together.

Wonderful...what a classic...Pavarotti has left a void which will not soon be filled in the vocal world...Joe does a great job as well...the Adamas II sounds very fine!

Thanks for the post!

Difference of opinion. I thought the guitar's tone sucked. But I blame the sound guy more than the guitar....

Wow, Pavarotti and Cocker. What's next, Slash and Segovia? It was great, tho. Thanks for the heads up.

That struck me too, the tone of the guitar was pretty awful, I just thought it was the quality of the recording or the YouTube sound. Still a cool video, just not a great example of the Adamas sound…

I listened again a couple of times on headphones and it sounded like either the guitar had a grimy old set of mediums on it, the EQ on the guitar was set wrong/sound guy didn't help it, or the video wasn't very good.

I thought more about this sitting in church today (sorry, kind of off-topic) while Ben was playing his Taylor for us (plugged right into the PA). I have been approached about playing with the worship team, but my wife and I have other commitments Sunday mornings at church that have prevented me from playing. I would be interested in finding out how Ben sets his EQ and how the guy in the booth handles it. That said, I wonder how the guy in the booth would handle my 1881.

Back to the YouTube Adamas. I thought it was great to see someone using one front and center. Too bad the sound didn't do it much justice.

Have a great evening everyone.
