I had a blue Ovation 1981/82 full body Adamiss stolen from me . I know it was a long time
ago, but maybe someone out there knows something about it. The band (Badmouth)
was playing a gig at Carols place in Island Park Long Island. A young couple offered me a ride home
after the show, and while at a gas station in Oceanside, I got out to buy a pack of
smokes while the guy was pumping his gas ,not 5 seconds later ,I turned around to look ,and they were gone .

The guitar had a nick on the headstock, a nick on the neck (2nd fret) and a scratch
just in front of the bridge . It was a 1982 or 83 guitar, electric acoustic Ovation Blue Adamas, full body.

If anyone out thier has any information about my guitar, or knows someone who might know about it,
please email me,

Rich Skowronski

Thank you for your time, and helping out in this matter.

Could be an impossible mission after all this time. That could describe hundreds of Adamas'. Just to clarify, the guitar was an 81/82 or 83? And when was it stolen? And, even if one was located that matched that description, could you positively identify it?

Good luck in your search, Rich.

I agree with Weas. (did I just say that out loud?) Without a serial number, it will be next to impossible to find it, or discern one from the other. Best of luck on the search though.

I've detailed records of most Adamas I/II guitars offered on ebay worldwide since 2003 (nearly 300). That's a good basis for a search but virtually worthless without model# and serial#. Was it a 6- or 12-string, with carved pedhead/bridge or without, cutaway? Check your documents, maybe you still have the warranty card with these numbers.

Sorry about your loss. Coincidently, I lost a '73 Ovation, stolen from a motorhome parked in a campsite at the beach just south of Oceanside, back in 1981.

Don't wory, TJ. SWMBO says that, unless it's notarized, it never really happened.
