I started with a reel to reel. Wore out the switch learning Stairway (except for the solo) and really annoyed my college roommates. Then I had a cassette deck that had a quick rewind button. I got good at judging the length of the rewind.
I just recently found out my cd player had a looper. Cool. Now I can annoy my wife as much as I annoyed my roommates.
