I would hesitate to buy a discontinued product from a company I have never heard of.....unless you consider it a throwaway cause service in the event of a problem might be hard to come by.
Personally if it was my money I would probably get one of the nicer models that Al sells. They sound fantastic for the money. |

Location: North Oregon Coast | Don't know about this one but I'm considering something similar: H2 Zoom A friend over on the Washburn acoustic forum has been using one for about a year and he highly recommends it. I bought a Boss BR-600 awhile back but it's too complicated for me, so I'll probably sell it and buy me a Zoom! |

| I've been using an H2 for over a year with fantastic results. Superb quality, easy to operate, intuitive controls, and ultimate portability. I migrated from a Sony D8 portable DAT and will never go back. |

Hey, did you figure out that Vocalist 2 unit and get it working? |

Location: Cicero, NY | Iffy - you have the V2? I didn't know that. It was Serge's V4 we had at the SCG, wasn't it? Very cool unit. I remember walking away thinking that I wish I had a little time to play around with that. |

I haven't pull it out yet for testing yet!
Bill,
Since Serge had his V4 I saw no need for the V2. If ya want, I can send it up to ya to play around with it. Bob had issues with it and I haven't taken the time to try it out... |

Location: Chehalis, Washington | I just picked up a little Mbox2 to try some recording with, mostly because of the good things I've heard about ProTools.
If I were to get something portable, I'd most likely get the Olympus too - just way more features in a small package than any others for the price. |
