I have a OP-Pro on my 1868T. Recently I started having sound drop outs. I would check my cables... nothing. Then I tap the volume knob and it would crackle in and out. I remove the preamp and re-insert it... no good. I tap the knob some more and it goes back to normal. This has happened twice. But the last time I noticed the battery needed replacing.

Is what I am experiencing due to the low battery, or is it a preamp issue requiring a call to the mother ship?

First, change the battery. If that don't work, go inside and check the wire to the preamp can.

If none of them work, by then somebody may have more (better) ideas.
