My 09C Koa #86 arrived yesterday. First impressions:

It's the Best looking Ovation/Adamas ever; displacing the Book Elite. The King is Dead, Long Live the King!

Acoustic:
Sounds better than my 97C.
Sounds better than my 6778 Elite.
Sounds better than my 1597 Adamas.
Sounds better than the W597 Adamas.
Not as good as the #47RI, doesn't project as much.

Did I mention it's drop dead gorgeous? The eyes jump from detail to detail like a starving man at a smorgasbord. The top swirls as you stare.

The Contour bowl works for me and helps keep the body in proper position.

And SWMBO looked at it and said "Now That One's worth what you paid for it."

If you want a pic please go to Al's website and while you're there buy something because he's really pleasant to deal with. Thanks, Al!

Hey Mitz, congrats.
How does the Koa compare to a spruce top in terms of tone and loudness?
