Welcome. Lots of good, confusing advice above. We love to spend other people's money!

Seriously though, I have to agree on looking for a used solid top preferably US-made model over a laminate top Celeb. The difference in unplugged tone will be immense. Plus it's most certainly a buyer's market - there are amazing deals for high quality guitars right now.

You can easily used Balladeer in that price range.
It was not discontinued as much as moved to
Korea. This place had a NOS USA Standard Balladeer
