AJ and I braved the cold Brisbane weather (21C) to head to the Brisbane Guitar Show.

AJ was all tuckered out from buying a Breadwinner the night before, so he didn't buy anything.

I'm still paying off my 1680, so would be sleeping outside if I came home with anything other than the new computer I had permission to buy. Besides, I already owned two of the ones they had on display.

They had an 08C (I thought I had the only one!), an 07C, John Lennon, an elite, couple of celebrities and an Ultra. While we were there, we met Roman who decided to buy the 07C that was on display. He already has a few other Ovations, so we did our best recruitment effort and tried to appear normal. Here's Roman with his new acquisition:

Were they offering any deals?

AJ doesn't have a stand because nothing ever leaves his place. The prices weren't bad by Australian standards. An 08C was on sale for $A4995 ($US3,900). I'm still paying off my lay away in the States, so the hands were firmly in the pockets. AJ has satiated his feeding lust the night before, so a guitar would have had to jump out at him. Mostly it was AJ: "I've got one of those, paid about half that price. Two of those ...".

The show price was $2995AUD

It was great to see a few of our passion and some nice ones at that, on display.

I was hoping there might have been a "show special" on a D18 but there were none on display.
Good deal on D28, $2995 against a retail of $4295AUD
not partial to them though.

AJ

Show it to your wife Chris to show her what a discerning shopper you are. You can make out the price tag in the top photo.
