The Book was a redo of the 87, for the cover of the Ovation book. There were mandos etc. to match. I've seen a picture of the whole series somewhere. Check Jerome's site.

Sorry, I gotta go, but do a search in the vault for "book elite". There is a thread called "calling all book elite owners". There you'll find the picture Mark mentioned.

In my sig you'll find the bass and the longneck out of this series.

Best regards,
Kurt

Finding information isn't too hard. Actually finding a specimen is a different story entirely. It took me about four years to track one down...then it got damaged in shipping! Now it's at the factory being repaired. Coincidentally, I also managed to snag a Book Mandolin at the same time. When it rains, it pours I guess.

Daniel,
When you do a search, click on the arrow on the Search Forum box and then on the various Vault sections. Karl's reference is in "Vault: 2006". I'd do a link, but then you would just get lazy and expect us to do your research for you. Truthfully, I don't know how to post a link and don't really want to know how.

So, Daniel, with Mark's help you've learned how to use the search function.

Next step: Try to figure out yourself the difference between Karl and Kurt. Mark's still in training.

Best regards,
Karl - or was it Kurt?

If you either click the Logo at the top of this page, or go to the Social Network site, you can just type "Book Elite" in the "ultimate search" utility and find lots of info and pictures etc.. The utility searches most every popular Ovation guitar resource on the web.

Oops. I should know the difference between Karl and Kurt, too, since Karl and I had a great time playing his guitars, but Kurt was too busy working.
