Maybe it's just me, but there's my opinion. As far as it "looking better" ... The only person that will usually see the back of the neck is the player. (I know, I know, the headstock does show up) As an artist and painter(degree in art)I can tell you that the more gloss finish you have on an object, the more it actually "diffuses" the color underneath. That's because the reflection caused by the gloss effect competes with the color of the object underneath. There ... put that in your pipe and smoke it (for all its worth)(; | ||

Joined: May 2008 Posts: 4996 Location: Phoenix AZ | My FD14 was actually glossed TWICE. FedEx loves me. I hated the looks and feel of the bare wood since day 1. First I just had the face of the headstock glossed. Guitar looked great but still gave ne splinters. | ||
