I realize that is not the same as a Plek'd guitar but with an eNut and a good setup by a competent luthier you could approximate the results for a lot less money. | ||

I think it is primarily for guitarists that want/require the absolute lowest setup without buzz that is possible. For players that prefer medium to high action I am not sure that it would be a worthwhile procedure but for those looking for the lowest action possible, it seems to work really well. Also very expensive..... I mentioned the eNut because it does an excellent job of helping with intonation. That along with a good setup will get you 90% of the way to a good Plek'd guitar for a lot less money. YMMV | ||

Joined: September 2006 Posts: 347 Location: Reno, NV | Reason I ask... My Strat has a high 5th and 7th fret that tends cause a buzz if I play to hard fretted at 4 and 6. Since im going to need a fret level job anyway, I figured that I might just get a Plek job instead. The closest place with a Plek machine charges about $220. | ||
