Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | I think I made some converts again last night. I played my 2077LX at open mic and a bunch of people came up asking about that beautiful, GREAT sounding guitar. The host was playing a nice Tak, but it was the sound of that LX that stirred people up. The best part is that one of my students sang. She has a Fender acoustic, and after hearing the LX, her Mom wants to buy her an O. (And I can fix her right up!) |

Apparently you can't easily copy/paste an image from Flikr, so here's a link:

Do you also teach voice?
Our local music store like yours is going out of business. We just got word yesterday. So sad.

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | No Anita, the LX is one I got from Bob (BT717) back in March. I LOVE that guitar. Although I mostly fingerpick, even when you strum a chord, what you hear is not so much a chord, but each individual note. I keep saying this is the clearest guitar I ever heard, but last night the word "articulate" came to mind.
It scares me when I hear about small shops like mine going out of business. A few months ago I was crowing about how the economy hadn't hurt business at all, but I have really noticed it this summer. Tourist season is usually my best time for sales, but it has been slow this summer. Lots of tourists still coming through, but they are buying t-shirts instead of guitars this year. And of course I have been spending recklessly lately. (Oh, but I sure have picked up some fine guitars!) Anyway, so far, so good, but it helps to know that I don't mind eating Ramen Noodles for a while if I have to. |
