I am looking to buy a small practice amp but cannot belive the spread in pricing. The Hartke has a small model at $350.00 and the similar Roland is $450.00. I will never use this anywhere but my house. Anything suggestions.

Try a Crate acoustic if you want a bargain. Decent quality, but nothing special.

The Roland AC-60, which I have bought, sold, then bought again, can be readily had for $300 on the used market (Ebay).

Well worth the extra dough - high quality amp that will do a small gig as well as fill the living room with sound.
