I have a sore left arm (the fretting arm) which bothers me particularly when (a) playing my Pacemaker and (b) cycling on bumpy roads (i.e. most rural Irish roads). I play my Applause on a strap quite high up against my ribs but I've just found the Pacemaker is much comfier hanging down near my waist (with the strap at its longest, and the forearm is almost level). Always thought the 'cool' players like Slash looked stupid with the Les Paul hung at knee level but obviously it depends what you play and how you're built. |

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | Not only do I play seated, but preferably the seat is very low so my lap is high. This gets the guitar almost in the classical position which makes stretches so much easier. |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | I play seated. If I am going out, I take that little stool that came with my Trekker.
But, If we are talking about where I hang the guitar from a strap...
I adjust the strap when I am seated so that the guitar hangs in the same place when I stand. |
