A wide range of ages, music tastes and talent levels lead to a lot of fun. My nephews brought all their percussion stuff along for added fun. Can you pick me out? ![]() And of course some gospel stuff with my bro in law. ![]()

He kept it clear of the s'mores.

She has visions of our family sitting around the campfire just like your picture. Unfortunately, it's the lack of family interest, rather than the lack of a firepit, that keeps this from happening. Everyone has other interests or conflicts.

We had 2 fires going most nights due to the size of the crowd. The campfires started at about 9:30 every night and went on to at least 2am. We were a tired bunch. You have my sympathy for the Fla heat. Our evenings cooled off to the 50s so it was just about right. Nice fireplace....is that a home or a lodge somewhere? I'm working on 'hooking' some of the close relatives on the family shared music experience. There's nothin' to compare to that, family-wise. To those that do not have the blessing/luxury of such gatherings, meet up with the OFCers within your realm! You'll never regret it and have sweet memories forever. BTW, for the lil' ones, purchase some simple percussions and you'll never regret it! ![]()

The only brother who doesn't is the only one who took guitar lessons as a youngster. My wife's side would rather listen to talk radio than listen to music. There's still hope for the kids, but it's tough getting them together when they're in different states. After our first NW Gathering, my daughter and I played "Momma" by B.J. Thomas for my Mom's 80th birthday party and the next family reunion, our 30th Anniversary, I played all our wedding songs on my new OFC guitar. But getting together for a singalong is pretty tough. Next time anyone wants to stay at a cabin out in the woods, let me know. I could probably save you on rent, but the travel expense might be a bit high.

Don't have support at 'home'? Then get your azzes to a jam! Worst case scenario, ya get to envy the talents here on line. In your case, I and several others were privileged to relish your abilities. :D BTW, how did your last med visit go? ![]()
