I don't know the whole history, but it's got to be the stupidest looking splotch of jizz I've ever seen. Maybe they should have just put a regular tortoise color D28 pickguard on them. I'm kicking myself for not remembering on my last custom to specify "no snotblob". The good thing is that it won't last as-is forever. In time it'll turn yellow and give the guitar a whole new motif.

It's almost invisible on the 47 unless you look from a really sharp angle. I hope it stays that way.
