Got a '77 Viper solid body electric. @250 on ebay 5 or 6 years ago. Modified, broken pickguard, great body, dings on the neck and a repaired stress crack on the back of the neck. It arrived tuned a step above standard and it was fine. Solid guitar. My third Viper.

I want to do two things with it. One, restore the pickup and pickguard to original and two, set up a drop in pickguard with three pickups, three volume and 1 tone controls increasing flexibility of a great instrument (Think Warrior guitars Rick Derringer model, or the Gibson/Epiphone 3 pickup Nighhawk).

Where can I find pickguards or hav one made or get material to make one myself for the 3-pickup drop-in? I intend not to modify the body at all.

Does anyone know where I might find a Viper bridge pickup, original or even aftermarket?

Hey thanks. One thing I'm thinking about the drop in 3 pickup pickguard is a humbucker, a P90 and a single coil. Three volumes for multiple p/u combos.

The three p/u's would be either a PRS Santana or a Burstbucker (at bridge), a tele bridge p/u (middle) and a Duncan P90 or even a Viper (neck).

Oh, you must mean DUKII (Duckee, Deacon UKIII).

I couldn't get the active part to go active but those UKII pups are a little more than just Passive!
Needs a little more polish too.
