I know what you mean Wabbit.
But when it comes right down to it, after hours of pouring over endless specifications for the latest electronics purchase, I STILL fall for the Monster cable thing.

I didn't read the specs. I read articles on the subject written by physicists.

Searching the internet can find great deals on Cable...whether it's Monster or some other brand...large cable does improve the signal and therefore the sound (at least to my ears)...

I haven't yet drunk the kool aid on power line cables (it'll happen) but I've invested heavily in audio interconnects. Put myself through school working in a high end audio salon but even at employee discount stuff like MIT, Audioquest and LITZ is pretty pricey stuff. I vaguely remember paying something like $5 an inch.

The good thing is that if my house gets robbed the perps will probably just rip out the components and leave all the cables behind. Idiots.

Btw, T28 you're full of shit if you think CDs "can rival the sound of vinyl". You know better than that.

OK....maybe I should have said on a Mercedes type audio system. True I don't have a 30K turntable set up but the rest of my system certainly qualifies as excessive (over 15K in wiring alone)....and with that said, based on MY SYSTEM, my statement stands.

You are more than welcomed.....actually encouraged to bring your favorite vinyl over and I will accept the challenge.

He basically said that if you want to recapture your past enjoyment of the Beatles as per your old car radio, get the mono...
