I have a 1989 Collectors Edition..made in New Hartford..the blue one..This was my first guitar, Im wondering what it would be worth to someone..Its in great condition..

They vary quite a bit depending if someone is hot for it. The dinky style headstock is a turnoff for a lot of traditional Ovation players, as is the bridge design. But for someone who is a child of all things 80's, it is quite a find. Decide what you want for it, but everyone's "first" guitar has such sentimental value it's gonna be hard to part with it for what you'd probably be able to get for it.

I always thought that the 88C, 89C, and 90C looked weird cuz of the 24 fret necks.
They really had to migrate the bridge to fit that in there.

So, how do they sound/play? And is it an acquired taste?
[I've had 24 fret electrics, but I never play way up there so... Why?]
