Location: Yalova/Turkey | Hello folks,
there is a Ovation CC 275 5-string acoustic bass on sale on ebay Germany, and I am thinking about bidding. But I couldn´t find any reviews about Ovation acoustic bass guitars. Does anyone have an idea or experience with those?
I would be happy for helpfull information.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards
Chris. |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | I had a CC2474 4 string bass. It seemed like a nice product. I only had if for a coupla days, long enough to find out that I wasn't a Bass Player.
But this was a nice guitar... Considering I had nothing to compare it to, since I don't play bass.
But mine was well made. It had an OP4BT new-ish Celebrity preamp.
There are people who own acoustic basses on this forum.
So someone should eventually be more helpful. |

I would think the deeper the bowl the better the sound.....especially for bass. |

Location: Upper Left USA | I have an Applause AE140 Bass that still out projects any acoustic Bass I've heard. I imagine that as you move up the tone only gets better.
I would never use an acoustic Bass in a performance because of feedback. It seems to me that they are mainly for the unplugged jam sessions and such.
I did hear Master Keller on an Adamas unit but he soaks in Mojo all day long anyway. |

Location: Montana | I've been tempted to buy an AE-140 several times (that's the short scale one right?). Are acoustic basses any more susceptible to feedback than acoustic guitars? Do the soundhole plug devices help? |
